Chesapeake Villages
Chesapeake Villages was created as part of a partnership between Maryland Public Television and American University’s Center for Environmental Filmmaking.
On this project I worked mostly as a writer, videographer, and interviewer on the “Hooper’s Island” segment of the show, while also assisting on the editing team. I am extremely proud of the work I did to direct these interviews and elicit some truly heartfelt reflections from a father & son pair of watermen navigating changes in the oyster harvesting industry.
For this film, our team received a Student Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Student Production from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 2015.
