Hi there! I’m Gio (pronounced just like “Jo”) and I’m a service-minded professional who has worked primarily as a video editor and film instructor based out of Philadelphia.
Since my graduation from American University, I’ve proudly created media on behalf of esteemed organizations at home and abroad. My past clients include National Geographic, American Girl/ Mattel, and Whiz Kids Workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In addition, I've worked as a fundraiser for The Nature Conservancy. After being laid off from my fundraising role during the pandemic, I also wrote, illustrated, and self-published my first children’s book “PB and J: Two friends in a Jam!”
Recently, I wrapped up a contract working as a freelance editor on the new children's series "The Infinite Art Hunt" for WHYY, the PBS station of Greater Philadelphia. I'm now open to freelance opportunities as a Video Editor, Producer-Editor, or Video Producer.
When I’m not eyeing edits from behind an oversized pair of blue light glasses I can be found enjoying Philly’s art and culture scene, taking long walks along the Schuylkill, and improvising musical numbers about my rambunctious rescue cat.
